The Fitzrandolph House in East Jersey Old Towne to become a story-tellers cottage

The Fitzrandolph House, located in East Jersey Old Towne, is typical of a very early Piscataway farmhouse. It represents some of the first small shelters built during the mid-1700's on the highlands surrounding the Raritan River.

Among the first families to settle in Piscataway, the FitzRandolphs grew to be one of the largest. This extended family was so dominant in Piscataway, that one area became known as "Randolphville."

The FitzRandolph House is being developed into a storytellers cottage.
