Lord Sterling's Headquarters - Valley Forge

This was originally the home of Parson William Currie. During the Valley Forge encampment of December 19, 1777 to June 17, 1778, Major General William Alexander, Lord Sterling, and Major James Monroe (5th president of the United States) quartered here. Major Monroe was Aide-De-Camp to Lord Sterling. This building was under renovation when this picture was taken, during the summer of 2004.
