Washington's Crossing Burial Grounds

This burial ground is hidden behind the Thompson Neely House on the Pennsylvania side of the Delaware River. To locate it, cross the canal and head southeast, down the canal. Go about 1/4 mile down and you will find it on the left side as the canal will be on your right.

There are many graves here, however there has only been one person positively identified as being burried here. The person was Captain James Moore of the New York Artillary. He was born in August of 1750, and died at the age of 26, December 1776.
